We customize each sailing trip on your private boat. It's easy! Check in at the sailing shop, meet your captain, and head out on the water for a unique and unforgettable sailing experience on Flathead Lake. 

A scenic sailing cruise is a glorious way to see the lake, learn about sailing, or just kick back and take in the view—It's your choice!

Wild Horse Island State Park on Flathead Lake is home to bighorn sheep, mule deer, songbirds, waterfowl, bald eagles, osprey, wildflowers, and a handful of wild horses. Sometimes a bear will even swim over. Rare plants and scenic views make this a must-see of Flathead Lake. The island is only accessible by boat and there are no docks. We offer a chance to explore this beautiful slice of Montana wilderness from the adventurous side. Sail, kayak, or paddle board over and remember ... Leave no trace!

Sailing level: No experience necessary

This is a leisurely cruise to explore Flathead Lake and nearby islands on a 25-ft sailboat. You can also learn about sailing if you like.

Includes: Private boat with captain and space for 1-5 guests

Duration: 3 hours, Mon–Sun, 10 AM, 1:30 PM, or 5:00 PM.

Cost: $540 per boat

Included: Safety equipment and Type II USCG life jackets.

Toilet: There is a small port-a-potty on the boat for use.

About

Our captain will take you on a fully customizable sail outing to show you beautiful Flathead Lake. We sail by Wild Horse Island State Park, Cromwell Island, and nearby islands with as much or as little informal sailing instruction as you like. This trip does not go to the shore of any islands.

Bring

A cooler with beverages and snacks to enjoy on the water (remember: help conserve our environment by reducing plastic), a towel if you want to swim, hat, sunscreen, and drinking water.

We pride ourselves on SAFETY and FUN! 

This is a basic level activity and entertaining for all ages 5 and older. You must be able to step down into the sailboat from the dock and easily move around the cockpit (sitting area).

Safety is our first concern. Weather preparedness and health standards are in place.

Level: Beginner to Advanced

Activity: Advanced Explorer. This is an action-packed day made to explore Flathead Lake and Wild Horse Island on a 25-ft sailboat with SUPs and kayaks to go ashore!

Includes: Private boat with a captain and space for 1-5 guests

 $659 per boat for 4 hours, offered at 10:00 AM or 2:30 PM

 $939 per boat for 6 hours offered at 10:00 AM

Included: 2 kayaks or 2 SUPs, paddles, safety equipment, and Type II USCG life jackets.

About

We will sail 1-2 hours over to Skeeko Bay on Wild Horse Island where the trailhead begins, anchor, have lunch, kayak or SUP to and from shore, then weigh anchor, and finish our tour by sailing back to the dock. This is a great opportunity to learn about sailing if you like.

Toilet: There is a small port-a-potty on the boat.

What to Bring

A cooler with beverages, lunch, and/or snacks to enjoy on the boat, (remember: conserve our environment by reducing plastic), a towel if you want to swim, hat, sunscreen, and drinking water.

We pride ourselves on SAFETY and FUN!

This will be an intermediate level activity and entertaining for ages 9 and older. You must be able to paddle without assistance and lift the kayaks, step onto an SUP, step out of the sailboat onto your kayak or SUP, climb the boat ladder, and swim if necessary.

Safety is our first concern. Weather preparedness measures and health standards are in place.
